The Township's Emergency Response Plan has been prepared to assign responsibilities, procedures and general written guidelines for the immediate response of Zorra key officials in the event of an emergency situation or impending emergency situation.

By-law No. 33-04 was passed so that the Township of Zorra could begin an emergency management program.

Residents have an important role in ensuring their safety during an emergency. Emergencies can occur quickly and without warning. You can best protect yourself and your loved ones by being prepared, staying calm and following instructions from emergency personnel.

Emergency Response Plan & Risk Based Plans

The Township's Emergency Response Plan was adopted on November 5, 2002 and was updated on October 2007. The plan is reviewed on an annual basis to ensure that the information remains current. This plan is in place to provide guidelines and procedures for Township officials and emergency response personnel to implement in an emergency event and offers direction on how to prepare and respond to a potential emergency situation.
