Zorra Municipal and Child Care Centre

The Zorra Municipal Centre and Child Care Centre was constructed at 163 Brock Street in Thamesford in 2023-2024.  Staff moved into the new facility on May 30, 2024, leaving their old home at 274620 27th Line where the office operated for 49.5 years. The new office boasts a large Council Chamber and a public meeting room, along with ample room for staff and room for growth. 

Township Council has made a commitment to be carbon neutral by 2040. The projected life span of the facility is over 50 years and will help the Township achieve its goal. The Township will also be price protected from energy and hydro price increases over the life of the building. The 19,760 ft2 building is heated and cooled by renewable energy and will have a rooftop solar component in the future.
